Water Woos and Its sheer wastage !

I dont think there ll be any place in punjab which is not struck by water shortages in summers. And we all blame to the government or Municipal Corporations for the poor supply of water. We fail to understand that they cant manufacture water or its not their fault when water gets dried up in the natural resources from where it is supplied.
We too have to co-operate in this situation by making a few and simple efforts to conserve water and preventing its wastage...

I have seen many cases of such incidents where people carelessly waste water for no reasons...

People leave the water pipes running in their gardens for watering the plants. But instead, the water gets accumulated in a small area which leads to its pure wastage.Watering of plants should be done with sprinklers or manually.

Another case is when people wash their cars with continuously running pipes. Instead the washing can be done with a wet cloth or stuff leading to the minimal usage and wastage of water.

And another case which i think almost everyone must have encountered is when come back home from somewhere ..we notice that the taps where running in the bathrooms or kitchen. This usually happens when we open the taps, and the water is not coming and then we forget to turn it off. Later when the water comes, it goes running. Before leaving our homes or sleeping at night, we should turn off all the taps.
And turn off the taps wherever you see it running.

We can adopt these simple methods and conserve water. And lesser the wastage of water, more will be the supply.

One More World Environment Day !

Was just going through the newspaper pages and found a few article posters on World Environment Day ! giving some tips on conserving the environment. But does that worth anything ?? We read it, we forget it.

What do we think of World Environment Day...Having a few speeches or a function in school...reading a few articles in the newspaper...news flashing on television...thats it! How did all this contribute to the 'Environment' ?
Every day is indeed an environment day...we dont need a special day to do something for the environment or for our self or for our future...
